the 2007 usg sheetrock four hundred at chicagoland

(to the song “working for the weekend” by loverboy)

chicago race day, was hot, the track was slick

casey mears up front was quick - oh

paul menard blew up - reutimann’s car expired

(but) one other driver sure was on fire - at the wire:

finally, stewart won something this season

finally, tony got to climb a fence

tony wrecked his third plate car last weekend

but a clone of his best car won next! - oh

in second place was johnson

then came a tire explosion

though harvick led quite a ways

he sure often compl-ained!

(instrumental)

dale’s power steering, like budweiser, was through

blaney and jamie crashed in turn two

bowyer and truex - on pit road got caught

clint finished top-ten, martin did not!

finally, stewart won something this season

finally, tony got to climb a fence - yeah-yeah-eahah-ha!

kenseth tried, but just could not quite beat him

with armpit ads for deodorant! - ugh!

martin said he won’t forget

the day his primary wrecked

newman’s fender, although tweaked

got its best run in five weeks!

(instrumental)

hey—

in second place was johnson

then came a tire explosion

though harvick led quite a ways

he sure often compl-ained!

martin said he won’t forget

the day his primary wrecked

newman’s fender, although tweaked

got its best run in five weeks!—
