the 2007 aaron's four ninety-nine at talladega

(to the song “it’s the end of the world as we know it” by r.e.m.)

waltrip, mark, and ken did not make

this plate race, boy, what a shame

top two speeds, they were the same

herman was near the top, sterling marlin returned

kevin never did lead, boris made it on speed

bowyer got a wall piece, and - then - rick - y’s

battery was averaging low - volts - then - died

tired cars expired: robby gordon, paul menard, then dale jarrett, carl edwards, and ward burton’s ride

saturday was ‘citing, watch labonte go slingshot the

stewart car - and - win

then on sunday, bobby’s tire popped, spidey caught

a break, three laps were - made - up

smoke sped on pit road

and he got a slow pass-through, the lower groove, by himself, could you tell

he wasn’t angry, caution’s out for debris

rescinded the words from his show back on tuesday night - right?

johnson had a problem with car two-five although

vickers ain’t inside

look out for the beer cans we’re all throwin’

look out for the beer cans we’re all throwin’

look out for the beer cans we’re all throwin’

‘cause here comes mine

“I cannot wait to leave,” kyle busch thought ‘cause he

crash-and-burned, twice earned sudden backstretch wreck turns

tony raines got jimmie johnson caught in a spot that got

jeff burton and nemecheck, ricky rudd, busch, and truex

hamlin led the big pack in one long - line - long - time

reutimann in third place - great race

newman’s gold car dropped some parts, contact with montoya

mcmurray got in the lead, drivers went side-by-side

bad luck for reutimann, but no one threw the caution until gordon got by!

look out for the beer cans we’re all throwin’

look out for the beer cans we’re all throwin’

look out for the beer cans we’re all throwin’

‘cause here comes mine

here comes mine

(rant over instrumental after fade, as fast as possible w/accent:)
“gol-ly, that derned jeff gordon done won ‘nother cup race here! this ain’t what I came here for, not to-day, not no-way. good thing I done brung this here big ol’ roll of toilet paper seein’ as I’m so mad I could just, I could just—”

(w/accent)
"look out for the beer cans i've been throwin’

look out for the beer cans i've been throwin’

look out for the beer cans i've been throwin’

‘cause here comes nine!"

(back to "normal")
half-dozen slow caution laps made hamlin get some gas

biffle thought “overdrive” meant “crash up high”

gilliland wrecked smoke, tony’s hit was not a joke

gordon just beat earnhardt’s win record - boom!

some psychotic dale fanatic threw that bud can, right? - right!

look out for the beer cans we’re all throwin’

look out for the beer cans we’re all throwin’

look out for the beer cans we’re all throwin’

‘cause here comes mine—
