in plate racing, weird stuff happens all the time

upset winners, big wrecks and cars four-wide

who knew back in ‘02 that a driver’d give his car a pry:

gordon’s in the grass ‘cause marlin spun him in turn one

marlin beats ward burton, but the race is not quite done

although there’s a red flag, marlin thought it time to bail:

sterling pulled his fender and then nascar sent him to the back

ward and geoff bodine moved to first and second on the track

the green flag came out and three more laps were all that lacked

sadler got past geoff bodine real quick

eighty-eight was then spun out by the six

ward still led and beat sadler by a couple ticks
