Monday, May 15, 2006 the 2006 dodge charger five hundred at darlington (to the song "i’m a believer" by the monkees) i thought every track was full of rusty nails everyone else missed except poor me. luck had somehow left me that’s the way it seemed nothing seemed to go right for my team. and then i won a race yeah i was the leader. gordon’s chase had run out of time. out in front—yeah! trophy receiver, two years neither were denied! each reporter heard from me the following every time our race too early stopped: "my blue ford was flyin’ isn’t it a shame we did not quite get to vict’ry lane!" and then i won a race yeah i was the leader. i could taste sweet vict’ry this time. out in front—yeah! caught checkered fever, took a meat cleaver to my slide! "my blue ford was flyin’ isn’t it a shame we did not quite get to vict’ry lane!" so glad i won a race! lady luck, i can see her! second place is gordon’s this time! out in front—yeah! like eddie cheever and ‘leave it to beaver,’ i survived!
